Research: Record space in between left and right face overprints. (Measuring the whitespace between the two face overprints.)
Purpose:
1) Find relationships between spacing and print runs and/or plate positions.
2) Determine if face overprints were shared cross-denominations.

Research: Record space above and below (left and right) face overprints.
Purpose:
1) Find relationships between over-under spacing and print runs and/or plate positions.
2) Identify inverted face overprints.

Research: Record occurrences of imperfect face overprints.
Purpose:
1) Find relationships between face overprint die wear and print runs and/or plate positions. Back overprints

Research: Record occurrences of different intensity back overprints.
Purpose:
1) Find relationships between back overprints and print runs and/or plate positions.

Research: Full record of all notes but the last run of normal notes.
Purpose:
1) Identify changeover notes (one note of a changeover pair).
2) Predict variety by serial number.

Research: Full record of all notes.
Purpose:

Research: Full record of star note serial numbers with face plate and back plate numbers.
Purpose:
1) Validate or improve accuracy of star note run estimations.
2) Correlate star note print runs' face plate and back plate numbers to BEP plate usage dates to determine when the star note runs were printed.
